Hutchison, 28. The sapper temporary corporal with 1 Field Squadron was
killed with Barry (Pud) Moore by a mine explosion while clearing a
minefield in Phuoc Tuy the morning of November 16 1967. "Married to
Pauline, 2 daughters, Aileen & Tina"

The private rifleman with 2RAR died at 36 US Evac. Hospital , Vung Tau
On December 1 1967 from wounds he received from an enemy mine in Phuoc
Tuy the previous day.

The private with 5RAR was wounded on April 4 1969 and then killed in a
mine explosion in Phuoc Tuy June 15 1969.

Robert J. Jackson, 25.
He was killed in an explosion at Phuoc Tuy on February 28 1970. The RSL
at Greta in NSW, refused to allow him to buried in its section of the
cemetary. It did not consider Vietnam as a "real war".

private rifleman with 6RAR was killed in action in Phuoc Tuy June 5

Second Lieutenant's plane was shot down during a training flight in
Phuoc Tuy at 10.30pm December 3 1969.

was killed at the Battle of Long Tan August 18 1966.

Brian R. A. Jones, 22.
On April 10 1971 in Phuoc Tuy, Jones was accidentally by another SAS
member when he entered an evacuated enemy camp from an unexpected route
and was shot in the head.

John H. Kalma, 22.
Kalma, did two tours of Vietnam with 1RAR, in 65-66 and as a lance
corporal rifleman in 1968 when he was killed by an enemy mine in Bien
Hoa on December 19 1968, six weeks before he was due home.

Graham R. Kavanagh, 21.
The private rifleman with 7RAR died of dehydration and extreme high
body tempreture while on operations in Phuoc Tuy on April 21 1970.

private with 6RAR died of wounds from a New Zealand Army drop short in
Phuoc Tuy on February 6 1967.

John J. Kennedy,29. The
corporal with 5RAR was killed when a mine exploded in Phuoc Tuy on June
15 1969. A Veteran who was there. John Skinner remembered: I turned to
John and he was screaming and frothy red blood was bubbling up through
his back... And I knew that he couldn't live.

The private with 5RAR was killed in action while on patrol in Phuoc Tuy
on August 14 1966.

The private rifleman with 9RAR was killed in a contact with the enemy
in a bunker system in Long Khanh Province July 19 1969.

serving with B Squadron 1 Armoured Regiment on his first operation, he
was killed when the tank he was driving hit a mine in Phuoc Tuy May 13
1969.

private rifleman with 9RAR was killed by a rocket propelled grenade
during a contact in Phuoc Tuy January 19 1969.

Ian W. Kingston, 20. The
private rifleman with 6RAR was killed in action in Bien Hoa Province
September 3 1969.

Kingston-Powles, 24. The private batman with4RAR was killed in a
contact in Phuoc Tuy September 21 1971.

John W. Kirby, 31. He
enlisted in the Army in May 1953. He served in Borneo and Malaya and
Instructed at Canungra in Queensland and the Jungle Warfare School at
Kota Tinggi, Johore, Malaya where he instructed Australians, Britons,
Americans, South Vietnamese and Ghurkas in guerrilla warefare, sabotage
and survival. Made up to Warrant Officer, he went to Vietnam in 1966 as
the CSM of D Company 6RAR. He won the Distingished Conduct Medal for
heroism at the Battle of Long Tan on August 18 1966 in which 18
Australians died when about 100 men clashed with an estimated 2500 Viet
Cong and North Vietnamese Regulars. He died of wounds when New Zealand
artillery landed off target among his patrol in Phuoc Tuy on February 6
1967. A veteran of his company, Ron Eglinton, remembered: "Jack Kirby,
who had been decorated for his actions at Long Tan, was killed . He was
a big, gruff, heavy man, a real father figure to us all and he was
dead. No reason. We sucured the area and called in a dustoff. Some-one
was screaming "Cover him up " No-one wanted to see him dead. It was
just so bloody piontless"

The private rifleman with 6RAR was killed in action in Phuoc Tuy during
an Australian ambush at 4.45am July 9 1966.

Grasta died of wounds he received when he was killed by a South
Vietnamese soldier, near Vung Tau, in June 1967.

Tall Flight Lieutenant was killed while ferring ammunition to troops
when his helicopter was hit by enemy fire and exploded.

23. A platoon commander, Langlands died from two gunshot wounds to the
body during enemy contact November 24 1968, in the Nui Tay Taos.

private rifleman died from a single sniper's shot in the Battle of Long

The private rifleman with 7RAR died in an enemy explosion in Phouc Tuy

, after falling from a moving truck which had swereved to avoid another
vehicle in Phuoc Tuy on September 13 1968.

Snipers shot the Warrant Officer on January 1 1966 as they were driving
through Quang Nam Province.

24. He was killed by a VC sniper on May 13 1968 near Fire Support Base
Coral, Bien Hoa.

Matthew P. Linton, 22.
With "Tiger " Battalion 5RAR, Linton died during operation Kings Cross,
on Nonvember 4 1969, in Bien Hoa.

Anthony Lisle, 22. The
bush tough "tunnel Rat" suffered wounds in the field during support
operations for 5RAR in Operation Kings Cross on October 22 1969. He
died from his injuries on November 12 in 1 Australian field Hospital,
Vung Tau.
