Graham F. A. Warburton, 21. He died from a single sniper shot from a VC in mid-afternoon on October 1 1966, in Phuoc Tuy while acting as a forward scout with his platoon.

Anthony E. L. Waring, 21. A private rifleman in 5RAR he died when hit by an enemy RPG on June 16 1969, during Operation Esso night patrol near Dat Do.

Brian D. Waters,21. Waters and six other Australian soldiers died on the same day during Operation Bribie on February 17-18 1967 when threee platoons encounted a large force between Dat Do and Phuoc Hai just after 4 pm on February 17 1967.

Bryan P. Watson, 21. Watson was the second West Australian to be killed in Vietnam on November10 1966. He was six months into his tour. Watson was training as a office equipment technician before being draafted on june 30 1965. He regarded service in Vietnam as his duty as an Australian

Richard C.A. Watson, 20. He was killed while serving as a rifleman private in 1RAR in Bien Hoa on a morning patrol on May 13 1968.

David R. Webster, 21. He died in a enemy contact near Dat Do, three days before his 22nd birthday on Febrary 17 1967.

James C. Webster, 22. A rifleman in 5RAR when an exploding enemy mine killed him in Phuoc Tuy on February 21 1967.

Gary M. West, 19. The rifleman private in 8RAR was wounded by an enemy mine in Phuoc Tuy on February 28 1970 and died two hours 10 minutes later in 1 Australian Field Hospital.

Leslie J. Weston, 22. A driver private in 2RAR, he was killed in an ambush just after dawn near Dat Do, Phuoc Tuy on September 30 1967.

Raymond B. Weston. A member of RAAF Operational Support Unit and was killed on July 20 1971. The RAAF declined to provide further details of Weston's service in Vietnam.

Kevin A. Wheatly, 28. " The Dasher" Wheatly of the AATTV, was the first of four Australians to be awarded the Victoria Cross in Vietnam. A football fanatic who would swallow live goldfish as a party trick, he enlisted in June 1956 and volunteered for Vietnam in 1965. On November 13 1965 "Dasher" and Warrant Officer "Butch" Swanton and ARVN troops were on a search-and -destroy mission in Quang Tri Province when they encountered a large VC force. Under fire, the ARVN platoon broke and ran, but Swanton was wounded as he tried to save an ARVN soldier. Dasher carried his mate the length of a paddy field, to a protected patch of scub, and refused to leave his side. After giving his gun to a retreating Vietnamese soldier, he pulled the pins from two grenades and waited, inevitably, for his death. The bodies were found lying next to each other the following morning.

John W. Wheeler, 22. Born April 25 1948, the son of an original ANZAC. A grenade killed him on the night of March 2 1971 in a nine hour contact in Phuoc Tuy.

Barry J. Whiston, 22. He was a member of B Sqn 3rd Cavalry Regiment. Home on R&R on Australia Day weekend in 1970, he had a wedding suit fitted for his planned marriage in June, but was killed three weeks later in Phuoc Tuy on February 18 1970.

Colin J. Whiston, 21. The rifleman private in D Coy 6RAR was shot dead in The Battle of Long Tan at 5pm on August 18 1966

Harry W. White, 23. He died of shrapnel wounds when a enemy RPG landed in his fox hole at Fire Base Coral, Bien Hoa at 3am on May 16 1968.

James M. T. White, 21. A rifleman private he died in an enemy contact on April 4 1969, at Long Khanh.

Michael P. White, 20. Wounded in action on November 1 1969 at Bien Hoa. he died of his wounds 24 days later in 1 Australian Field Hospital, Vung Tau.

John H. Whitton, 28. Posted to 1RAR he died during the Battle of Coral on May 13 1968 in Bien Hoa.

Alan "Tassie" C. F. Wilkinson, 33. On his second tour of Vietnam , he died of a illness July 3 1971.

Archibald S. Williams, 21. He was killed by an enemy sniper at Bien Hoa, on September 21 1968, three days before his 22nd birthday.

Garry I. Willoughby, 22. The rifleman private was killed in Phuoc Tuy on October 8 1970.

Robert P. Wilsen, 21. His APC hit a mine and killed him on February 21 1967 in Phuoc Tuy.

Kevin R. Wilson , 22. Wounded in action on January 31 he recovered only to die of gunshot wounds two weeks later on February 16 1968 in an enemy contact in Hua Long.

Mervyn A. F. Wilson, 29. He was a stretcher- bearer in his unit when he was killed by a sniper on January 8 1966 in Ben Cat, Phuoc Tuy.

Robert B. Wilson, 21. He suffered brian damage when a tip-truck rolled on him in Phuoc Tuy and died from his injuries in 24 US Evac. Hospital on July 16 1971.

Bogdan K. Wojcik, 23. He was killed in a motorcycle accident on June 22 1970 while on loan to the United States Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Pacfic Unit.

Noman J. Womal, 28. When the enemy shot him in the neck, he contiuned to postion and direct his men while under heavy fire, but died while awaiting evacuation.

Richard M. Woolford, 21. The rifleman with D Coy 2RAR was killed in action by a booby trap on August 1 1967.

Ivan A. Woolley, 21. He was injured and died on December 12 1969 in 12 US Hospital.

Jeffrey T. Worle, 21. He was killed in an attack on Fire Support Base Balmoral, Bien Hoa on May 28 1968.

Donald S. Wride, 23. He died when a tree fell on the bulldozer he was driving during an operation, causing him to suffocate on July 10 1967 in Phuoc Tuy.

Alexander H. Young, 21. He was killed in action two weeks before his 22nd birthday in the Battle of Coral on May 16 1968.

Brian T. Young, 21. The rifleman private died during a VC attack on Fire Support Base Coral, Bien Hoa on May 16 1968.

Robert G. Young, 22. He died in action when an APC exploded after being hit by a enemy mine on July 24 1969 in Phuoc Tuy.

Robert J. Yule, 20. He was killed in action by an exploding mine on Mothers Day on May 11 1969, during a reconnaissance patrol in Phuoc Tuy.
