OK, I'll cut the CRAP and give you basic instructions on how-to
get user levels working under Quake.

(1) Make sure you have the REGISTERED version.
    (shareware versions don't let you play user levels)

(2) Make a directory MAPS in your id1 directory (If you haven't already)
    (eg. c:\quake\id1\maps). You can make a directory by going into 
    the id1 directory and typing "MD MAPS"

(3) Unzip the *.zip file (eg. Daskull.zip) into whatever 
    directory you like.  If you want to make things easier you can unzip it
    into the MAPS directory.  (If you dont know how to unzip something
    you don't deserve to have a computer)

(4) If you have unzipped it into a different directory, make sure you
    move it into your MAPS directory.

(5) Go into quake and press the ` key.  (below escape)
    For those stupid enought to not know, this is called a console.

(6) Type "MAP DASKULL" or whatever the name of the map is.

(7) Enjoy.......
